" Little Angel " !

Here is another of the many Christmas Cards I`ve made this year, but I have finally finished them now. This one is stamped with the cutest image from LOTV coloured with distress inks and highlighted with quickie glue pen and glamour dust. The Backing paper I made with an old Trimcraft snowflake stamp I`ve owned forever ! just stamped in clear and embossed with old gold detail embossing powder. The other backing paper is Magnolia and the sentiment and punches used are SU as is the beige ribbon.

I`m not usually one for using colours like this at Christmas, I`m normally a traditional girl when it comes to such things but I`m trying to break out of my usual mould of red, green and gold and I`ve been experimenting with different colours this Christmas and I`m liking the results !

It`s been snowing here on and off all morning and it`s got me in the mood for Christmas so I`m toying with the idea of getting the festive decorations out. It`s a big job decorating our house for the Christmas season , I admit I am like a big kiddie at Christmas time, I love to see the house all tinselled up ! Better get up in the loft and see what I can find ! bye for now, thanks for visiting and happy crafting xx

Advent Box

Here is a 3D advent box I actually made last year from an idea I got from the very 1st Magnolia Ink magazine, I`d almost forgotton about it but I brought it out to fill with goodies for my Mum, she`s always treating me at christmas so this one is for her.
The images are stamped from Creat a Scene stamps "Vintage Christmas" from Creative Expressions and I`ve used the SU " lovely as a tree " set of stamps for the backgrounds

The Papers are Magnolia from last seasons chrissy range, the numbers are cuttlebug die alphabet set " Hippy Chick " and the handles are Tim Holtz hitch fasteners which I bought from Graphacus online

The photo`s aren`t great as I took them in artificial light, it`s been so gloomy weather-wise lately it`s been hard to get a decent shot but the artificial light really makes the glitter sparkle. The glitter is glamour dust sprinkled over quickie glue pen which is a very quick, easy and fast drying method for sparkles !

For the top of the box I just stamped out the main image and slightly raised it with foam pads just to give it a bit of lift off the background, the flowers are from Calico crafts and the gold bling is from Sehlbach and Whiting.

Again, apologies for the lousy photos ! I haven`t invested in a photo light box yet but it is on my christmas list !

Thanks for stopping by my blog, bye for now and happy crafting xx
