Recipe Card

I`ve made a double card (card on a card ) this week for a friend who has a birthday coming up, she loves to cook and we are always swapping recipe`s.
I was inspired by this weeks Allsorts Challenge which is "Use a cooking recipe" which I`d like to enter this into.



This is one of my tried and tested recipes, it makes THE most delicious cookies, I try not to make them too often because I only eat them and I can`t afford the calories quite frankly ! LOL !!



Stamps are Tilda`s from Magnolia, available at SirStampalot coloured with distress inks.
The paper is Cosmo cricket, Odds and Ends - Remnant. The sentiment recipe is LOTV. The die used is Sizzix - Top Note available from SU.



Well, I`m off to do some much needed ironing and housework which in all honesty I should have done yesterday, but it was such a nice warm, sunny day that I fancied a drive so I ended up at Sir Stampalot instead ! :D

Mother`s Day Card

This is the card that I made for my Mum for Mother`s day recently, I had to wrestle it off her to photograph it for my blog, she loved it so much she still has it up on display !
The image is from Penny Black, I love this one it`s one of my faves, Mum loves daffodils they are one of her fave flowers. I`ve coloured with distress inks as usual , the backing paper is one I got free from Making cards magazine ages ago.
The dies are Cheery Lynn - fanciful flourish and Magnolia doohicky doily both available at Sir Stampalot and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.



This is the inside, I`ve made it like a box card as there was so much dimension inside. I`ve hand made all these flowers apart from two of the tiny cream roses and the tiny yellow buds. All the others were made using a combination of punches and dies as follows :- Marianne Creatables, Tim Holtz-Tattered Florals, Nellie Snellen -medium leaves and small flower sets, Woodware-Mini daisy, Doocrafts-Mini flower and Mini daisy, Ash branch and fern foliage punches from Sir Stampalot, Cheery Lynn fanciful flourish die, Sizzix sizzlets-leaf dies, and the vase is a christmas bauble die from prickly pear.



This was a labour of love as it took me three days, almost one full day just to make the flowers ! But I think the end result was worth the effort.



I got the verse from one of the free poem websites and I think it sums up Mums perfectly, I love my Mum,she`s my best friend and I always know she`ll be there for me no matter what.

Sneaky Peek

This is a sample of the brand new Molly Blooms stamps which will be available soon at Sir Stampalot Mollys Gypsy Caravan and Mystic Molly.
I was so chuffed yesterday to receive the new Molly Blooms catalogue through the post to realize that my art work has been featured on the front cover. I am very honoured and it really made my day. I had been feeling a bit down lately as I have now been officially medically retired from work as my legs have got so bad I can no longer work, so this really cheered me up. I`m so glad I can craft or I would go simply nuts ! Anyway... I digress, back to the card ......



I have coloured with distress inks and added a bit of Stickles - Diamond for sparkle, the backing paper is from nit wit and the punch is Martha Stewart punch around the page eyelet lace. I used chalk eyes ink in French Blue for the background clouds which were created using the Great Impressions - stamping in the clouds stencil kit also available from Sir Stampalot here
I`m spending the day crafting today as it is pouring with rain here and it is forecast all day :( so a perfect excuse to stay in and craft ! LOL
