Nativity Scene

I know what you`re thinking, "shes flipped! a Christmas card in May!" but I haven`t really. Janice over at Sir Stampalot asked me to make a scene with these lovely Nativity Collection Magnolia stamps and this is what I came up with.

I have used most of the Nativity collection for this:- Holy Edwin, Loving Holy Tilda, Little Holy Baby, Edwin with goat, Tilda as Wiseman, Edwin as Wiseman, Tilda Captures the Stars, Holy Lamb, Holy Sheep and Magnolia Star. The text is Magnolia - From our Family.

I`ve made the scene on an Easel card and added the characters with sqashable boxes behind them so the whole thing can be stored flat when not displayed. The stable was fun to make, this was version #3 of the stable, I made a shadow box but the pitched roof took some working out. But never one to walk away from a challenge, I stuck with it and I was very happy with the end result.

I coloured all the images with distress inks and distress markers and added stickles - diamond to the stars and the halo around the baby. The roof eaves are covered in pieces of hemp cord and the Hay Bales are from the Molly Blooms - On the Farm collection.

I`ve also used Martha Stewart POP - Cherished set, Marianne Creatables - Fence die, Kraft card stock and Kaisercraft paper - Lush Collection.

I`d like to enter this into the latest Tildas Town Challenge which luckily enough is "Christmas"

It is a lovely, warm, sunny day here for a change so I`m off now to make the most of this lovely bank holiday Monday in the sun, thanks for lookin in, bye for now and happy crafting xx

Clowning Around

Another sample for Sir Stampalot. When I received this one I thought to myself yuk, I hate clowns! but I had a lot of fun colouring her in and going to town with bright colours and she doesn`t have a clowny face so I don`t get freaked out by her LOL!

I`ve coloured her in with distress inks and markers, the shape around her is Nestabilities Labels Four.

The little flags are done using Magnolia DooHickey Flags dies and I just ran them through the cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and added some dimensional foam under them to give a bit of depth.

I`ve also used Bo Bunny double dot paper, Basic grey House Party paper, EK success scallop border punch and woodware mini button brads.

Thanks for looking in, bye for now and happy crafting xx

Anyone for a Game?

Another Penny Black card, I kept this one clean and simple which was hard for me LOL! but I think the image lends itself to more of a male card.

The stamp used is Penny Black - Good Game available from Sir Stampalot, I`ve coloured with distress inks and markers and added a bit of glossy accents here and there to the rackets and shuttlecock (not sure it shows up in the photo though).
The papers are from two 6" x 6" paper pads, Prima - Jack `n` Jill and Basic Grey - Hopscotch, the ribbon is from the Molly Blooms Christmas kit and the ticket is Tim Holtz - Idea-ology - Adage Tickets. The little buttons are actually mini brads from Woodware and are soooo cute.

I`d like to enter this into the latest Inky Chicks Challenge which is Blue and Brown and also the Allsorts Challenge which is Any Sport.

It`s another dull `orrible day today weather wise, it doesn`t know whether to rain, be sunny, be windy or what, I wish it would make up it`s mind, definitely a good day to stay in and craft!

Thanks for looking in, bye for now and happy crafting xxx

Kitty Birthday Trio

Here is another Penny Black sample I`ve made for Sir Stampalot. I just love these cute kitties.

The stamp is Penny Black " The Essentials" I`ve coloured with distress inks and markers and this time I thought I`d do a bit of decoupage. As it`s a small image I thought the dimension would give it a bit of depth and make it pop a bit.

The papers are Basic Greay Hopscotch 6" x 6" pad and the sentiment is from Art Impressions set 2903, all products available at Sir Stampalot.

I`d like to enter this into the Papertake weekly challenge this time around it`s "Anything Goes" with the optional extra of using two stamps which I`ve done here using the Penny Black stamp and the sentiment.

I had a lovely big parcel of chipboard sheets arrive yesterday from Crafts U Love so I`m off now to see what I can create! bye for now and happy crafting xx

A Knight in Shining Armour

Hello, what a fabby weekend it`s turned out to be here, the sun is shining and it`s really warm, who`d have thought it possible for rainy ol` England. Anwyay here is another sample I`ve done for Sir Stampalot featuring the new Black Knight Edwin and one of my favourite Magnolia stamps to date.

I`ve coloured with Distress inks and markers and with lack of a goldy colour I had to blend Brushed Corduroy and Crushed Olive together to get this colour which I think works okay? I know he`s supposed to be a Black Knight but I like a Knight in shining armour personally LOL!

As he`s for Sir Stampalot, I couldn`t resist the little banner, I used Marriage font on my computer which looks kind of medieval and I think it`ll give Andy and Janice at Sir Stampalot a chuckle!
With lack of a background paper that suited these images I kept it simple with just Magnolia swirl 2 stamped and heat embossed with gold and the banners are DooHickey - Flags set.

I love the little castle, medieval history is right up my street so anything Knights and Castles and I`m there!! And what girl can`t resist a dashing Knight on his white steed eh?

I`d like to enter this into the Tildas Town Challenge which is "Anything Goes"

Thanks for stopping bye today, I`m off now to enjoy the sunshine in the garden while it lasts ! Bye for now and happy crafting xx

Fishermen Friends

Hello, I`m back again with a Penny Black card I have made for Sir Stampalot.

The stamp is Penny Black - Fishing, I`ve coloured the image with distress inks and markers and used a bit of White embossing powder to tip the waves with to give a bit of dimension and glossy accents on the little fish poking out of the water.

The paper is Magnolia and after running round the house looking for something I could use for a fishing net of sorts, I ended up raiding my first aid kit I carry in my car and found a stretchy bandage! I thought it did the job quite well! The little wooden fishes were in a goody bag I received at Christmas from Janice and Andy at Sir Stampalot and I thought they were perfect to go with these little fishermen. I just tied them on with a bit of linen thread.

I`d like to enter this into this weeks cupcake craft challenge which is "All at Sea"

I`m off now to try and get through the next level of Candy Crush Saga which my friends got me playing on facebook! it is totally addictive and I`m sorry I started it but I can`t let it beat me LOL!
