Christmas Star
Well that`s all my Christmas shopping done, prezzies wrapped and under the tree, cards distributed and the cake made! Haven`t I done well? I`m not sure what happened this year to get me so organized! Usually I`m running around like a headless chicken on Christmas Eve panicking to get the last minute bits and pieces done but this year it`s all in the bag so I can relax in a pre-Christmas glow and look forward to the big day ...... ( unless I`ve forgotten something ... or someone...) NO! don`t go there, I`m pretty sure it`s all done! YAY me!
Anyway, I`m soooo organized that I actually made more cards than I needed and here is one of them, well that gets me ahead for next year then!
This is an LOTV image - Christmas Star, coloured with Distress Inks and markers with a bit of Glamour dust for sparkle. Papers are Bo Bunny from Sir Stampalot Dies are from Joy Craft - Winter Wishes border and snowflake.
I`d like to enter this into the Allsorts Challenge which is "Snowflakes"
And Papertake Weekly which is "Last Christmas card of the year"
I`d like to wish everyone out there in Blogland a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and I`ll see you all in 2014.

Wee Winter Fairy.
Another Christmas card to add to the growing pile, quite a simple design for me this time. This is a Wee Stamps image - Winter Fairy.
I`ve coloured with Distress Inks and Markers and added lots of Glamour Dust sparkle to the snow and fur and wings. You can`t have a fairy without sparkle!
The backing paper is Bo Bunny, Cheery Lynn - Holly Flourish die, Tim Holtz - Tattered Poinsettia die and SU sentiment and Rhinestone.
I`ve also overstamped the backing paper with SU Serene Snowflakes and embossed with holographic glitter but not too sure it shows up well in the photo.
Thanks for looking in xx

A bit of flag waving
Here is another of the Little London Magnolia collection, I just couldn`t resist this little guy and he will be wending his way to my best mate Sally. We call her our English stick of rock because if you sliced her down the middle she would have England or a Union Jack printed all the way through her like a stick of rock! She is the most patriotic person I know and she will love this little fella.
This is the back of the little pull out tag. I decided in my infinite wisdom, to staple the ribbons on, (that was my first mistake) as my mini stapler decided to ping the first staple across the room and dump the inner workings of my stapler onto the surface of my craft desk! after a lot of fiddling and muttering I managed to get it back together but next time I will just punch a hole in the tag and thread the ribbon through methinks!!
Other products used - Ruby Rock-It vintage papers, La La land Heart Banner die, hobby house pearls, Distress Inks and Markers.
I`d like to enter this into Tilda`s Town challenge which this time around is "Anything Goes"

Fancy a Cuppa?
I`m back after a longer than anticipated break. Decorating is finished, Craft room up and running and then my mojo packed her bags and went well and truly awol for months..... But I`m back to full steam now, mojo back in place and locked down and raring to go...
I fell in love with the Little London collection from Magnolia, who couldn`t! here is Tilda with her cup of tea! I can`t do without a cuppa so I can identify with this little lady!
K & Co papers, La La Land die, Martha Stewart punch all available from Sir Stampalot. Flowers WOC.
As you can see I`ve been playing about with my Blog design, as you can also see I have no idea what I`m doing LOL, but I`m being brave and clicking buttons to see what happens ! (I`m terrified I might accidentally delete all my posts) but I`ll keep experimenting until I get it right so please bear with me :)

Blogging Break
Hi, Just wanted to say I`ll be away from my blog for the next few weeks, I have a guest staying with me for a short while then I will be changing rooms around and putting my new craft room together, decorating my bedroom and getting a new carpet laid etc. So I won`t have much time for crafting. Hopefully I`ll be back with a renewed vigour for crafting once my new craft room is up and running (I must say I`m not looking forward to shifting my craft stash, I`ll probably find things I haven`t seen for years LOL!)
So bye for now, be back soon xxx

Thanks a Bunch
I found this one in my picture file, a sample I`d done for Sir Stampalot a little while ago which got missed somewhere along the line! Anyway here it is ....
The stamp is Penny Black "Frolic" available from Sir Stampalot I`ve coloured with Distress inks and markers. The papers are MME - Quite Contrary and Basic Grey - Hopscotch. The pearl border is self adhesive from Woodware.
I stamped the little butterflies again and cut them out and added a bit of 3D glue gel for dimension and added hobby house 3mm pearls to the flower middles. The sentiment is from Art Impressions set 2903 all available from Sir Stampalot.
I`d like to enter this into the latest Allsorts Challenge which is " Fur and Feathers "
It`s going to be a scorcher here today, for once in England we are actually enjoying a Summer! so I`m off to the garden to make the most of it, thanks for looking in, bye for now and happy crafting xxx.

Tillly with a Gift
Another Tilly card, this time I`ve gone for a clean and simple card as the image is so large and I actually resisted putting ribbons, flowers and other embellishments on it!
The image is Tilly with Gift available from Sir Stampalot. I`ve coloured with distress inks and markers, the papers are MME - Hazel 6" x 6" pad. The die is from DooHickey flag and cloud set and the mini buttons are woodware mini brads baby boy. The text is from an Art Impressions set-2903 also all available from Sir Stampalot.
I`d like to enter this into the Cupcake Craft challenge which is "Not for Flowers" Clean and Simple with no flowers or flower embellishments. This is certainly different for me because I love my flowers LOL!

Tilly
Meet Tilly from Wild Rose Studios, isn`t she adorable?
The image is available from Sir Stampalot and that`s where this card is going.
I have coloured the image with distress inks and markers and added a bit of glossy accents to give her nose a healthy glow!
The papers are Magnolia - With Love - Dream Roses and I`ve used La La Land die - Heart Banner and Spellbinders die - Floral Ovals.
The sentiment comes with the stamp.
It`s a gorgeous sunny day here today so I`m going to make the most of the rest of it and sit in my garden, thanks for looking in, bye for now and happy crafting xxx

Here is a card I`ve made for my best friends birthday, it`s not until August but I`m trying to get ahead on all the years card making!
The image is from Stamping Bella - Uptown girls - Belinda and Bernadette the Bench Buddies, available from Quixotic Paperie. I love these stamps, most of them come with a sentiment too. I`ve coloured with distress inks and markers, the paper is from K&Co Watercolour Bouquet, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Magnolia and the die I have used for the easel shape is Grand Nestabilities Decorative Elements - Grand Stately Circles, available from Sir Stampalot.
I`d like to enter this into the following challenges - the new "A Creative Romance" challenge which is anything goes and
The "Paper Take Weekly" challenge which is anything goes with the optional extra of a non-square card.
I`m off now to prepare a Spag Bol for dinner, been fancying one for ages LOL!

Nativity Scene
I know what you`re thinking, "shes flipped! a Christmas card in May!" but I haven`t really. Janice over at Sir Stampalot asked me to make a scene with these lovely Nativity Collection Magnolia stamps and this is what I came up with.
I have used most of the Nativity collection for this:- Holy Edwin, Loving Holy Tilda, Little Holy Baby, Edwin with goat, Tilda as Wiseman, Edwin as Wiseman, Tilda Captures the Stars, Holy Lamb, Holy Sheep and Magnolia Star. The text is Magnolia - From our Family.
I`ve made the scene on an Easel card and added the characters with sqashable boxes behind them so the whole thing can be stored flat when not displayed. The stable was fun to make, this was version #3 of the stable, I made a shadow box but the pitched roof took some working out. But never one to walk away from a challenge, I stuck with it and I was very happy with the end result.
I coloured all the images with distress inks and distress markers and added stickles - diamond to the stars and the halo around the baby. The roof eaves are covered in pieces of hemp cord and the Hay Bales are from the Molly Blooms - On the Farm collection.
I`ve also used Martha Stewart POP - Cherished set, Marianne Creatables - Fence die, Kraft card stock and Kaisercraft paper - Lush Collection.
I`d like to enter this into the latest Tildas Town Challenge which luckily enough is "Christmas"
It is a lovely, warm, sunny day here for a change so I`m off now to make the most of this lovely bank holiday Monday in the sun, thanks for lookin in, bye for now and happy crafting xx

Clowning Around
Another sample for Sir Stampalot. When I received this one I thought to myself yuk, I hate clowns! but I had a lot of fun colouring her in and going to town with bright colours and she doesn`t have a clowny face so I don`t get freaked out by her LOL!
I`ve coloured her in with distress inks and markers, the shape around her is Nestabilities Labels Four.
The little flags are done using Magnolia DooHickey Flags dies and I just ran them through the cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and added some dimensional foam under them to give a bit of depth.
I`ve also used Bo Bunny double dot paper, Basic grey House Party paper, EK success scallop border punch and woodware mini button brads.

Anyone for a Game?
Another Penny Black card, I kept this one clean and simple which was hard for me LOL! but I think the image lends itself to more of a male card.
The stamp used is Penny Black - Good Game available from Sir Stampalot, I`ve coloured with distress inks and markers and added a bit of glossy accents here and there to the rackets and shuttlecock (not sure it shows up in the photo though).
The papers are from two 6" x 6" paper pads, Prima - Jack `n` Jill and Basic Grey - Hopscotch, the ribbon is from the Molly Blooms Christmas kit and the ticket is Tim Holtz - Idea-ology - Adage Tickets. The little buttons are actually mini brads from Woodware and are soooo cute.
I`d like to enter this into the latest Inky Chicks Challenge which is Blue and Brown and also the Allsorts Challenge which is Any Sport.
It`s another dull `orrible day today weather wise, it doesn`t know whether to rain, be sunny, be windy or what, I wish it would make up it`s mind, definitely a good day to stay in and craft!

Kitty Birthday Trio
Here is another Penny Black sample I`ve made for Sir Stampalot. I just love these cute kitties.
The stamp is Penny Black " The Essentials" I`ve coloured with distress inks and markers and this time I thought I`d do a bit of decoupage. As it`s a small image I thought the dimension would give it a bit of depth and make it pop a bit.
The papers are Basic Greay Hopscotch 6" x 6" pad and the sentiment is from Art Impressions set 2903, all products available at Sir Stampalot.
I`d like to enter this into the Papertake weekly challenge this time around it`s "Anything Goes" with the optional extra of using two stamps which I`ve done here using the Penny Black stamp and the sentiment.
I had a lovely big parcel of chipboard sheets arrive yesterday from Crafts U Love so I`m off now to see what I can create! bye for now and happy crafting xx

A Knight in Shining Armour
Hello, what a fabby weekend it`s turned out to be here, the sun is shining and it`s really warm, who`d have thought it possible for rainy ol` England. Anwyay here is another sample I`ve done for Sir Stampalot featuring the new Black Knight Edwin and one of my favourite Magnolia stamps to date.
I`ve coloured with Distress inks and markers and with lack of a goldy colour I had to blend Brushed Corduroy and Crushed Olive together to get this colour which I think works okay? I know he`s supposed to be a Black Knight but I like a Knight in shining armour personally LOL!
As he`s for Sir Stampalot, I couldn`t resist the little banner, I used Marriage font on my computer which looks kind of medieval and I think it`ll give Andy and Janice at Sir Stampalot a chuckle!
With lack of a background paper that suited these images I kept it simple with just Magnolia swirl 2 stamped and heat embossed with gold and the banners are DooHickey - Flags set.
I love the little castle, medieval history is right up my street so anything Knights and Castles and I`m there!! And what girl can`t resist a dashing Knight on his white steed eh?
I`d like to enter this into the Tildas Town Challenge which is "Anything Goes"
Thanks for stopping bye today, I`m off now to enjoy the sunshine in the garden while it lasts ! Bye for now and happy crafting xx

Fishermen Friends
Hello, I`m back again with a Penny Black card I have made for Sir Stampalot.
The stamp is Penny Black - Fishing, I`ve coloured the image with distress inks and markers and used a bit of White embossing powder to tip the waves with to give a bit of dimension and glossy accents on the little fish poking out of the water.
The paper is Magnolia and after running round the house looking for something I could use for a fishing net of sorts, I ended up raiding my first aid kit I carry in my car and found a stretchy bandage! I thought it did the job quite well! The little wooden fishes were in a goody bag I received at Christmas from Janice and Andy at Sir Stampalot and I thought they were perfect to go with these little fishermen. I just tied them on with a bit of linen thread.
I`d like to enter this into this weeks cupcake craft challenge which is "All at Sea"
I`m off now to try and get through the next level of Candy Crush Saga which my friends got me playing on facebook! it is totally addictive and I`m sorry I started it but I can`t let it beat me LOL!
Thanks for looking in, bye for now and happy crafting xx

Inspired by Grannie
Hello again, it`s been a while since my last post (I know, bad blogger!) but I have a good excuse, been busy designing projects for Kay Rutter for her Hougie book 4 and I`ve been in a box making mood.
While I was messing about making samples I decided to make a box for myself to keep all my lace in. The ribbon box that it was in was overflowing and my lace was getting squished so this is what I made. I was inspired by an old sewing box my gran had.
I used the largest nestie circle for each end of the box shape, leaving a 2cm space between the cuts and placing the dies over the edge of my cutting mats so that the full circle shape didn`t cut through. This enabled me to get the round ended shape for the box base and lid.
Excuse the blurry picture of my bottom !!
The paper I used is from "A Ladies Diary" from Graphic 45, I just love these papers, such good quality. I used the reverse side of the paper to decorate the lid. The paper on the handle is Bo Bunny double dot.
I had a lot of fun decorating the lid, I ransacked my embellishment boxes for anything sewingy I could find to chuck on the top.
The little wooden mannequin came from the Craft Den in Wisbech, the crochet lace flower is from Sir Stampalot as is the Hero Arts lace round the edge of the lid, the little clock, scissors and key dangling on the side came from the NEC but I cannot remember which stall it was and the flower buttons are SU.
It was a fiddly little project but I had a lot of fun creating it and all my vintage lace fits in without getting squished!!
I`ve had fun creating some new boxes and project for Kay, as soon as the book is published I`ll post them on here.

Much loved Moggy.
Hello, I`m back with a card I made for my friends birthday, she`s a cat lover so I knew she would love this image, it`s a favourite Penny Black stamp and well loved.
I`ve coloured the image with distress inks and markers and used lovely spring colours (not that we`ve had much of a spring so far) but the sun is shining today so I can`t complain.
The DP is Teresa Collins Fabrications available from Sir Stampalot and I`ve used the Martha Stewart POP Cherished set to create the box frame. The grass is a Magnolia DooHickey die.
The flowers are WOC and hobby house and one Marie Curie daffodil pin from last years campaign which I pulled the pin off and used as it went well with the picture! The sentiment is Wild Craft Studio.
I`ve not been crafting much lately as I`m just getting over a nasty chesty cold but hopefully I`ll be back in the saddle soon.
Thanks for looking in, bye for now and happy crafting xxx

I`ve not been crafting much lately as I`m just getting over a nasty chesty cold but hopefully I`ll be back in the saddle soon.
Thanks for looking in, bye for now and happy crafting xxx

The Charleston
Here is one of my new LOTV stamps purchased from the NEC last Thursday. It was a great day out but really tiring and my poor legs are still recovering! but it was worth the pain to see all those lovely crafty goodies under one roof!!
As this image had a vintage feel to it I tried to do it justice with just sepia tones which was a huge challenge for me. I`ve coloured with distress inks using a limited palette of just Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy, Walnut Stain, Tea Dye and Vintage Photo. This was my first attempt at sepia and I`m kind of happy with it, but methinks I still need practice with this technique!!
The papers are also LOTV - NitWit Collections - Country Lady, and I am so glad you get four of each paper in this pad as I think they are my new favourites, they are so beautiful and lovely quality too.
I`ve also used A bit of vintage lace, flowers are from Hobby House and made using the Tim Holtz - Tattered Pinecone die, LOTV sentiment and a couple of white feathers from my stash which I ran through some coloured chalk dust to take some of the whiteness away.
I also added some Mei Flower pearls and liquid pearls in Platinum to her dress and a bit of glossy accents to the gramophone record.
It has actually been a lovely sunny day here today which is a change from all the snow we`ve had lately so I`m making the most of it and catching up with getting some cards photographed while the sun is still shining!

Birthday Bunny
Here is a card I`ve made for my friend Anne who has a birthday at the end of March.
I`d like to enter this into the Papertake weekly Challenge. This week it`s " 1 2 3" so I`ve used 1 bow, 2 patterned papers and three pearls.
I`ve used one of the new Wild Rose Studio images - Bunny with Cake - CL294 available at Sir Stampalot . Coloured with distress inks and markers, the background papers are Bo Bunny - A gift of love, flowers are WOC, ribbon is taffeta from SU and the sentiment comes with the stamp.
I`ve added a bit of stickles - diamond to the flowers and the bunny`s tale and glossy accents to the cherry on the cake top and the jam in the middle to give a bit of shine and dimension .... Yummmm, makes me want a piece of chocolate cake! I`m off to my craft group this morning so there maybe choccy cake in the offing! (here`s hoping!) what better way to spend a morning than cake and craft !!
Anyway, I still have a million things to do before leaving the house so I`ll sign off and get on with them.
